Arts Yackandandah Folk Festival Choir 2009

Music is the universal language. We know that everyone can make music and together we can discover the benefits of singing as a community.
The Arts Yackandandah Festival Choir began 9 years ago as a way to encourage our community to participate in our festival. Each year as part of the Yackandandah Folk Festival activities the choir has thrilled packed audiences with their heartfelt performances.
Come and enjoy the challenge, fun and elation of being part of our community choir.
In preparation for the festival we rehearse for a 6 week period, learning approximately
6 - 7 songs.
Our Musical Director for the 2009 Yackandandah Folk Festival will be Fiona Dyball
Rehearsals
Dates - 6 X Rehearsals commencing Sunday 8th February at 2 – 4pm
Venue - Yackandandah Public Hall
Cost
| Choir Fee | $40 – individual | $50 – family |
| (this includes Arts Yackandandah Membership - $20 – individual $30 – family - children under 16 yrs free. Membership to Arts Yackandandah ensures you are covered by insurance and also allows you to purchase tickets for any Arts Yack events at membership prices through the year) | ||
NB - Children are welcome but must be old enough to participate and focus for a two hour period. Younger children must be closely supervised by parents so that they do not disrupt rehearsals.
To ensure smooth running, each participant is asked to pay their fees at the first rehearsal. On receipt of payment each person will receive a folder which will include this information sheet, sheet music, (a CD with parts to the all the songs will be available in the first couple of weeks). We ask that you bring your folder to each rehearsal so that you have your sheet music and can store any new material.
